This month our host Liana Oldham will be joined by Kim Ovel, our guest speaker who will be explaining pathways you can take to get specialised treatment. Kim is a Personal Trainer; a Level 5 Nutritionist with Diploma in Vegan & Vegetarian Nutrition, she also Certified in Menopause Awareness working at Spire Health Care in Brentwood. She helps not only women, but their families navigate through this challenging time with nutrition and fitness, providing time and space to chat about how to proceed with the treatment that’s right for you.
Kim will be sharing with us her hormonal story and how she came to be an activist for #MakingMenopauseMatter. She can offer guidance of where you can access free information, alternative therapies, and also referrals to medical professionals within Spire and outside that can discuss your needs.
You can ask questions, share your own experiences, and feel supported so you can get through this challenging time feeling well. Expect information on food, supplements, lifestyle routines, exercises, HRT and more that may improve your well-being.
You can take away a small booklet published by the UK Charity Menopause Support Group UK founded by the #MakingMenopauseMatter movement. The booklet contains FAQ, a ‘symptom checker’ you can take to your GP and help with consultations, information on HRT, and a list of other sources of information.
Places are limited so we would recommend registering in advance.
